The three main components of the Ziva Kids course
Ziva Kids teaches participants three main components:
- a physical way to shift energy in the body
- belly breathing
- mindful wishing
Emily and her partner, Z Bunny, teach the kids a great technique to shift energy in the body. This can help when your kids are feeling cranky, sad or just blah. The belly breathing teaches kids to calm their bodies and be mindful of how they can control their breathing. And the mindful wishing is a kid’s take on manifesting. Thinking about what they want or desire to happen helps them to focus on a positive outcome. Especially helpful when they’re in a swirling storm of negativity and worry.
My Kiddo’s Review:
There are 2 different age groups to choose from in ZivaKids. There’s a 4 to 8 years and a 9 to 14 years. I waited until my daughter was 5 to go through the course with her since I limited screen time on a computer to basically zero before age 5.
The verdict from my daughter: She loves Z-Bunny! The week we went through the entire course she would wake up and ask if we could do Z-Bunny that day. She absolutely loved earning her daily piece of the badge, coloring it, and adding it to her badge. We have it hanging on our family calendar so she is reminded of her accomplishment!
My stepson did the older kids program when he was 10 years old and found it very helpful. He suffers from some extreme anxiety at times and definitely came away with techniques that he said were helpful. We have encouraged him to repeat these when he’s feeling anxious and he has actually continued to do them!

Is Ziva Kids Meditation Course Worth it?
The Ziva Kids Online course is definitely worth the investment. We live in a complex world and helping your kids get a handle on their emotions and bodies is priceless.
I believe the earlier you can start teaching your kids meditation the better. The importance of a daily practice will help set them up for a better understanding of themselves and to be more compassionate. Having a mediation practice will help them to:
- squash their worries
- sleep better
- and improve focus (so important with all the many distractions a modern world brings)
And the importance you place on a meditation practice will encourage them to create a daily habit. So, I also highly recommend the adult version of zivaONLINE for you. Learning to be mindful of the world around them and their own bodies and minds gives them a sense of calm in spite of the unpredictability of life.
I would highly recommend you try out the ziva KIDS ONLINE course for your kids. It has everything you need to teach your kids how to meditate, how to notice their thoughts and let them go, and how to create a daily practice.
